We're an indie game studio based in Kirkland, WA, made up of artists, programmers, sound designers, and game designers. We make games because it's fun, and because it's what we like to do.

What we're cooking
Our first project is Borrowed Worlds, a tabletop RPG that turns the universes you already love into planets to explore. It's in the final stretch, and we couldn't be more excited! Borrowed Worlds is just half the team. The other half is working on something completely different that we’re equally excited about, but we’re not quite ready to share yet.
Who we are
Our team is stationed out of Washington, with members all over the world - All over the States, Taiwan, the Dominican Republic, and more. Most of us met here in Washington initially and stayed in touch as we moved about, so we could keep making games out of pure love of the craft.
We're ragtag, scrappy, and held together by coffee and willpower.
Why Rice Pudding?
Rice Pudding Games was started by Russell Higgins and Apu Dutta, a married couple from Kirkland, WA. Apu's family is from West Bengal, India; Russell is Irish, Polish, and Italian from Buffalo, NY.
Both sides had a family rice pudding recipe passed down through the generations - Russell's Polish recipe made with cinnamon, Apu's Bengali one with jaggery. When it came time to start their own studio, they wanted a name that meant something to both of them. That story came up, and the name stuck.
